The Quincy High School girls golf team defeated Quincy Notre Dame, Pittsfield and West Hancock in a quadrangular match on Tuesday at Westview Golf Course in Quincy.
The Blue Devils shot a team total of 176, which was 20 strokes ahead of QND. Pittsfield was third at 197.
Laci Novosel of QHS was the medalist, shooting a 42, and teammates Avery Scott and Brooke Walbring both tied for second with 43s along with the Raiders' Lindsay May.
Dearwester wins medalist: Central's Natalie Dearwester shot a 40 to earn first place in a match against Petersburg PORTA and Rushville at Arrowhead Heights Golf Course in Camp Point. Rushville won the match with a team score of 239.
Burlington d. West Hancock: The Burlington, Iowa, boys golf team defeated the West Hancock boys on Tuesday in Hamilton at the Deer Run Golf Course. Burlington finished with a team score of 184, and the Grayhounds' Nate Spear shot a one-over-par 37. The Titans shot a 198, and Dane Pfeiferling shot a 44.
QND JV wins quadrangular: The Quincy Notre Dame junior varsity boys shot a 191 to win in Rushville. The Rockets finished second with a 214, and Illini West was thiird with a 224. Jackson Murphy's 46 was the best round for the Chargers.
