The Culver-Stockton College women's volleyball team won twice Friday at the Illinois College Tournament, defeating Greenville 25-22, 25-20, 25-16, and MacMurray 25-18, 26-24, 20-25, 17-25, 15-12. Gabby Hickman led the Wildcats (5-3) with 14 kills and 8 digs against Greenville, and she had 24 kills, 15 digs and five aces against MacMurray. Jenna Lord had 18 digs, six kills and three aces against Greenville, then had 12 digs and six kills against MacMurray. Paige Webster had 11 kills and an ace against MacMurray, and eight kills and three aces against Greenville.
JWCC loses twice: John Wood Community College lost to Carl Sandburg 25-18, 25-19, 25-21 and to Hawkeye 25-4, 25-19, 25-17 at the Southeastern Community College Jimmy John's Tournament in Burlington, Iowa. Shayla Darnell had nine kills, Anna Peters had seven kills and Kailey Owsley had 17 digs against Carl Sandburg. Darnell and Peters had four kills each against Hawkeye, and Owsley had 10 digs.
QU splits: Quincy University rallied from two sets down to defeat Wisconsin Parkside 27-29, 23-25, 25-18, 29-27, 15-7, then fell to Wheeling Jesuit 25-12, 25-13, 24-26, 16-25, 15-10 in the second game at Indianapolis for its first loss in six matches. Taylor McMonagle led the Hawks against Parkside with 24 kills and 20 digs, then added 10 kills and 12 digs against Wheeling Jesuit. Sarah Brown had 10 kills and seven blocks against Parkside, then had 11 kills, and six blocks against Wheeling Jesuit.
HLGU loses twice: Hannibal-LaGrange lost twice at the Avila Tournament in Kansas City, falling to Avila 19-25, 25-22, 25-23, 25-23, and Southwestern (Kan.) 25-18, 29-27, 25-18. Ashlyn Spay had eight kills and eight digs for the Trojans, and Brenley Stearns had eight kills.
