Avery Scott shot a 41 Tuesday to lead the Quincy High School girls golf team past West Hancock in a match at Arrowhead Heights Golf Course in Camp Point. QHS posted a 176, with Paige Cain adding a 43, Brooke Walbring 44 and Laci Novosel 48. West Hancock shot a 267. Central did not have enough players to field a team, but the Panthers' Natalie Dearwester was medalist with a 36.
Kirksville Invitational: Palmyra placed fourth and Quincy Notre Dame took sixth of 12 teams Tuesday at the Kirksville Country Club. Lindsay May placed fifth for the Raiders and shot a 93, and Hannah Dreier was seventh with a 98. The Raiders had a team total of 463. Palmyra shot a 445, and Mexico won the tournament with a score of 391, and Samantha Hirner had the low score for the Panthers with a 96. Abby Boyer of Kirksville was medalist with an 83.
Fish, Groesch tie: No team scores were kept, but Pittsfield's Gabi Fish tied for medalist with Brown County's Grace Groesch, each shooting 53. Drew Welbourne had a 54 and Audrey White 56 for Pittsfield.
