HANNIBAL, Mo. -- The Hannibal Free Clinic's annual Rib and Wing Fest will be noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Mark Twain Cave picnic area.
Food will be prepared by local award-winning barbecue teams, and for a small entry fee, attendees will receive rib and wing samples and sides. Hot dogs will be available for children, and light and adult beverages can be purchased at the event.
Steppin' Back and other local musicians will perform. Yard games like cornhole and Jenga will be set up.
All proceeds support the Hannibal Free Clinic and will be matched by the Riedel Foundation. The nonprofit, volunteer-based clinic provides basic medical care for uninsured adults ages 18 to 64. Since opening in 2007, the clinic has assisted more than 2,000 individuals during 13,000 visits. It also has a medication assistance program that has helped secure over $13 million in donated medications from pharmaceutical companies.
The cost to attend the 2018 Rib and Wing Fest is $12 for adults and $6 for children ages 5 to 12. Children under the age of 5 will be admitted at no charge.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Hannibal Free Clinic, 160 Progress Road; Judy's Boutique at Hannibal Regional Hospital, 6000 Hospital Drive; or at the gate on Saturday.
