Geneseo at QND

When: 7 p.m. Friday

Where: Advance Physical Therapy Field

Records: Geneseo -- 1-1. QND -- 0-2.

Radio: WGEM 1440 AM/98.9 FM, WTAD 930 AM

Extra points: The Raiders and Maple Leafs are meeting for the first time since Sept. 12, 2008, when QND allowed just 130 yards and won 7-0 on a sloppy home field. Geneseo's 36-3 loss to Moline was the first in the season opener in 16 years, but the Maple Leafs rebounded last week to defeat Galesburg 28-0. Zach Olson had 20 carries for 136 yards and two touchdowns, Colton Pischke had 15 carries for 100 yards, and the defense had three interceptions. The Maple Leafs were 5-5 last season, losing 40-35 to Dixon in the first round of the playoffs last season. Isaiah Rivera quarterbacked the team as a sophomore, but he has decided to concentrate on basketball. The 6-foot-4 guard already has offers from New Mexico, St. John's, Drake and Loyola. Jaren Brucher, a receiver last season, now plays at quarterback. QND has allowed 476 rushing yards (5.7 yards per carry) in the first two games, and it must do a better job of controlling the line of scrimmage on Friday.
