HANNIBAL, Mo. -- The second annual Taste of Twain Wine, Food and Beer Festival returns 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Mark Twain Boyhood Home grounds.

The event brings together wineries, craft breweries and cuisine prepared by Hannibal-area restaurants for people to sample. Proceeds from admission tickets will benefit the Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum properties.

Wines available for attendees to try include those from Cave Hollow West Winery, Stone Hill Winery and St. James Winery. Mark Twain Brewing Co., a co-host of the event, will serve new beers and local favorites. Also available will be brews from Public House Brewing Company, Six Mile Bridge and Ferguson Brewing Co.

Members of the Hannibal Area Homebrewers Association will be at Taste of Twain to discuss home brewing methods and offer samples.

Restaurants represented at the event include the Mark Twain Dinette, Hannibal County Market, Fiddlestiks and Badger Cheese Haus.

Items other than wine, beer and food will be available, as well. McIntyre Cider will have hard ciders, Wood Hat Spirits will have bourbon, and Green Door Cigars in Kirksville, Mo., will sell a variety of cigars.

Live music will be performed by Seth Wade and the band Steve Paquet & the Heavy Implants.

Armbands to get into Taste of Twain are $25 in advance and $35 if bought at the event. People must be 21 or older in order to attend. Each attendee will receive a special souvenir tasting glass, provided by the Mark Twain Brewing Co., and enjoy unlimited samplings.
