EDINA, Mo. -- Three Knox County R-1 School District students face felony assault charges after an incident said to have occurred on school grounds Monday.

Knox County Sheriff Robert Becker told the Herald-Whig's news-gathering partners at WGEM that the juveniles were arrested on school grounds. WGEM said there were multiple juvenile offenders and victims involved in the incident.

Superintendent Andy Turgeon refused to comment, only saying, "We work to ensure the safety of all our students."
