Blake Herman's streak is over. The John Wood Community College men's soccer team's unbeaten streak is not.

Despite Herman, the sophomore forward, being held scoreless for the first time this season, the Trail Blazers beat the Culver-Stockton College junior varsity 3-1 Thursday night at NX Level Field in Canton, Mo. JWCC is 6-0 heading to play Southwestern Illinois College in Belleville, Ill., on Saturday.

The Trail Blazers grabbed the lead in the 14th minute when Ridge Reyneke scored off a Simon Surin assist. In the 28th minute, Saliou Kouyate doubled JWCC's lead by scoring off a Jonathan Deck assist.

The Wildcats picked up a goal in the 53rd minute only to see the Trail Blazers score 29 seconds later as Reynecke picked up the goal off another Surin assist.

Eric Lubbert made five saves for JWCC.

Palmyra 5, Quincy 4: The Panthers' Chloe Dent and McKenna Abbott teamed up to beat the Blue Devils' Emily Klinner and Honor Morgan 8-1 at No. 3 doubles in the deciding match at the Greeman Tennis Center in Reservoir Park.

The Panthers won four of the six singles matches -- all in straight sets -- but the Blue Devils' No. 1 doubles team of Olivia Clayton and Isabella Trinh and the No. 2 team of Taylor Kruse and Katarina Vrtikapa won to create a winner-take-all scenario at No. 3 doubles.

Marshall 9, Hannibal 0: The Pirates lost every match by at least five points in the dual loss in Hannibal, Mo. Hannibal's Sascha Pauly lost 10-5 at No. 1 singles in the closest match of the dual. The Pirates won only three games total in the three doubles matches.

Southeastern d. Western: Bishop Roberts shot a 9-over 44 to lead the Southeastern boys golf team to a 192-227 victory at Bow Lake Golf Course in Barry, Ill. Landen Roberts and Cole Glick both shot 49 for the Suns. Rilee West led Western with a 52.
