Palmyra teen injured in crash

PALMYRA, Mo. -- A Palmyra teen was injured in an early Thursday morning crash in Marion County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica driven by Sierra N. Plank, 19, of Palmyra was westbound on Marion County Road 234, 5 miles west of Palmyra, at 12:40 a.m. The patrol said the vehicle swerved to avoid a deer, traveled off the right side of the road and overturned.

Plank, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Marion County Ambulance to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill., with minor injuries.

The patrol was assisted by the Marion County Sheriff's Department and the Palmyra Fire Department.
