MENDON, Ill. -- The Adams County state's attorney's office will review information to determine whether charges will be filed in an accidental shooting Monday night in Mendon.
Adams County Sheriff Brian VonderHaar said a man was accidentally shot by a 4-year-old about 9 p.m. in the home in the 400 block of West Washington.
The Sheriff's Department said the man suffered a gunshot wound to his arm and was taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury.
VonderHaar said the department is not seeking charges but forwarded information to the state's attorney's office for review.
State's Attorney Gary Farha said he doesn't anticipate charges but said he has not seen the report from the Sheriff's Department.
