BOWLING GREEN, Mo. -- A two-vehicle crash Thursday night seriously injured a Bowling Green woman.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 2004 Ford F-250 driven by Eric L. Hancock, 22, of Vandalia, was westbound on Business Highway 54, approaching North 15th Street, and a westbound 2004 Ford Explorer driven by Nadine N. Phillips, 36, of Bowling Green, was stopped waiting to turn left onto 15th at 7:48 p.m. The patrol said the front of the F-250 struck the rear of the Explorer, which traveled off the left side of the road and struck a nearby building, then continued through the building before hitting a dumpster and the front of a fifth wheel trailer, coming to rest under the front of the trailer.

Phillips was taken by Air Evac to Mercy Hospital St. Louis.

The patrol said Phillips was wearing a seat belt, but Hancock was not.
