QHS at Alleman

When: 7:45 p.m. Saturday

Where: Lindberg Stadium, Augustana College, Rock Island.

Records: QHS -- 5-1 (3-0 Western Big Six Conference). Alleman -- 3-3 (1-2 WB6).

Radio: None

Extra points: To set up a WB6 title showdown with Moline in Week 8, the Blue Devils need to win their third road game of the season. This will be the second road game this season not played on a Friday night. Because of weather concerns in Week 3, Quincy beat Belleville East 42-23 on a Thursday night. The Alleman game was moved because Augustana is celebrating homecoming this weekend, and Lindberg Stadium was unavailable Friday night. The Pioneers' season is being defined by the defensive effort. Alleman has allowed 1,780 yards rushing, and in the three losses, the Pioneers have given up an average of 51.3 points. In the three victories, the Pioneers allow just 13 points per game. Senior quarterback Sam Mattecheck engineers an Alleman offense that has done a solid job controlling the clock and limiting opponents' possessions. Mattecheck has rushed for 465 yards and seven touchdowns and thrown for 596 yards with eight touchdowns. Nathan Sheets leads the Pioneers with 524 yards rushing, while four different receivers have 100 or more yards receiving.
