MONTICELLO, Mo. -- Jesse L. Huckaby, 42, of Ewing, was arrested Sunday on two counts of attempted statutory rape in the second degree, a Class E felony, and one count of possession of a controlled substance -- methamphetamine.

The Lewis County Sheriff's Department said in a press release that the department received information on Saturday that an adult male was sending lewd photos to two juvenile females. Deputies then posed as the juveniles on social media and while sending text messages.

According to the sheriff's department, Huckaby later drove to a Lewis County cemetery where "he thought he was meeting the juvenile females for sexual relations." That's when deputies took Huckaby into custody.

Huckaby remains in the Lewis County Jail on a $50,000 cash-only bond.
