QUINCY -- Two Quincy residents were arrested Thursday after police reportedly found suspected methamphetamine and heroin in a home on Quincy's north side.

Jayson Mallady, 39, was arrested on a charge of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and Melinda Cox, 39, on charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance.

The Adams County Sheriff's Department said a search warrant was served about noon in the 300 block of Cherry, where deputies reportedly found the drugs, along with U.S. currency.

Both are being held in the Adams County Jail pending their first court appearance.
