PALMYRA, Mo. -- The Palmyra R-1 Parents as Teachers program will be mixing a little fun with education next week.
The PAT program will host a "Little Einstein's Science Night" at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, in the Palmyra Elementary School gym.
Families and their preschool-aged children are being invited to attend the science event, which is free and open to the public.
Kathy Nicholson, the Palmyra R-1 School District's early childhood coordinator, said children and parents will have an opportunity to explore and learn about science by working with a variety of colorful activities, such as "space dough," "racing water drops," "rocket fuel," "fuzzy foam fun," "magic mix," "color mixing," "magnet power," "straw rockets" and "space art."
"We have a mission to learn," Nicholson said.
