BOWLING GREEN, Mo. -- Two Vandalia teenagers were taken to Pike County Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries suffered in a crash Friday evening in Bowling Green.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a 2006 Ford F-250 driven by Cody W. James, 18, was heading west at 7:44 p.m. on U.S. 54, just west of the intersection with Business U.S. 54, and driving too fast for conditions, when it drove off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole.
Cody suffered moderate injuries, and passenger Katlyn R. Hunn, 18, suffered minor injuries.
Police said both were wearing seat belts.
Assisting was the Pike County Ambulance Service.
