PITTSFIELD, Ill. -- A fugitive sting in Pike County resulted in the arrests of two men.

Dusty L. Embree, 23, of Griggsville, and William Brandon Stolte, 39, of Pittsfield, were arrested on warrants early Tuesday morning.

The Pike County Sheriff's Department said Embree was arrested without incident at a home in the 200 block of Main Street in Baylis. Embree was arrested on outstanding Pike County warrants after an investigation that started Aug. 18 when he reportedly fled from a deputy in New Salem.

Stolte was arrested in the 1200 block of Rogers Street in Barry. Police said he had an outstanding warrant in Pike County and also had a warrant in Adams County.

Police said during the execution of a search warrant, they found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Pike County Sheriff Paul Petty said the department and the Pike County Crime Stoppers received numerous calls and tips on Embree's whereabouts.

"When the community reaches out to us, it shows the importance to the community of working to live in a safer and more secure environment," Petty said in a release.
