HURDLAND, Mo. -- A Kirksville man suffered minor injuries in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday morning just west of Hurdland after the car he was driving slid off an ice-covered road.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a 2003 Toyota Tacoma driven by Bo E. Bell, 24, was heading east at 6:20 a.m. on Mo. 6 when the truck slid off the left side of the road, struck a ditch and overturned.

Bell was taken to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville for treatment.

Police said he was wearing a seat belt.

The Knox County Sheriff's Department assisted at the scene.
