Prep roundup: Kauth comes off bench to lead Clark County

Madison Kauth scored 20 points off the bench and Brooklyn Howe added 12 points to help Clark County to 64-41 a non-conference road victory over Kirksville, Mo.

The Indians led 32-16 at the half and outscored the Tigers in each quarter. Aubry Boulware made three 3-pointers and had 10 points for Clark County (5-1). Hannah Meyer had 12 points for Kirksville (0-3).

Palmyra 63, North Shelby 22: The Panthers rolled to a 35-9 lead by halftime and won easily in the first round of the Monroe City Tournament. Isabelle Goldinger led Palmyra (3-0) with 11 points and three 3-pointers, and Audrey Fohey finished with 10.

Paris 57, Marion County 22: The Mustangs trailed 17-2 after the first quarter and never challenged the Coyotes in the first round of the Monroe City Tournament. Marion County (1-2) trailed 38-10 at the half. Delaney Straus led the Mustangs with 12 points. Tori Hamilton had 20 points for Paris.

Clopton 58, Canton 50: Kaitlyn Kunts scored 13 of her game-high 29 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Hawks in Canton, Mo. Laken Hugenberg scored 21 points for the Tigers (0-3). The game was tied 33-33 entering the final quarter before Clopton (2-1) outscored Canton 25-17. The Tigers made only 14 of 31 free throws.
