QUINCY -- The investigation continues into the Sunday shooting death of a Quincy man.
Quincy police Lt. Kathy Schisler said detectives continue to follow up on leads in the investigation into the death of 53-year-old Dennis Green, and she encourages anyone with information to contact the department.
Green's body was found about 3:45 a.m. Sunday on the front porch of his home at 800 S. 13th, after officers were dispatched there on a report of shots having been fired.
Green was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary results from an autopsy completed Sunday by Dr. Scott Denton found the cause of death was two gunshot wounds to the head.
Police said multiple shell casings were recovered from the scene. Multiple people were inside the home at the time of the shooting, but no other injuries were reported.
