QUINCY -- Kathy Brink has learned to never say never but hints this could be her final performance with Travis Spratt.
The two well-known singers from the area -- Brink has long called Quincy home, and Spratt is a native of Northeast Missouri -- will reunite for two shows Feb. 8 and 9 at the State Room in Quincy.
"There are no plans for any more shows (together) after that," Brink said.
She would not, however, completely shut the door.
"You never know," Brink said with a smile.
The two sang together from 2003-2007 and then after a nine-year layoff reunited for four shows in 2016. Four sellout crowds at the State Room enticed them to team up again for special performances in 2017 and 2018.
Originally, their 2018 show was thought to be their last, but conversations late last year, coupled with ongoing requests from fans, convinced Brink and Spratt to team up once more.
"I'm so glad this has worked out," Brink said. "People have been so nice and so loyal to us. It's a lot of work, but we both enjoy singing so much."
In recent years, Spratt has been part of the Main Street Opry at the Lake of the Ozarks, Mo., and Pierce Arrow shows in Branson, Mo. Brink has been busy with a number of bands and solo performances in West-Central Illinois, Northeast Missouri and southeastern Iowa.
The singers will cover tunes -- and add their own interpretations -- to familiar songs from the 1950s through recent years.
The two also will be including some well-known show tunes and classics like "Moon River," "Someone to Watch Over Me" and "Summertime."
At one time, Brink was a Patsy Cline impersonator. She said fans can expect to hear their favorite "Patsy songs" during the show.
"I (still) love Patsy," Brink affirmed.
Brink and Spratt are well known for their tight harmonies, which are an integral part of their performances. Those attending can expect to hear a variety of songs, ranging from hits by the Eagles and the tandem of Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, that will accent those harmonies.
"I've always felt harmony adds to a song," said Brink, who has been singing professionally since 1976.
