Hawks split two matches at home

QUINCY -- The Quincy University men's volleyball team split two matches on Sunday, defeating Milwaukee School of Engineering 20-25, 25-17, 25-20, 21-25, 15-10 before losing to St. Xavier 25-22, 25-20, 22-25, 25-19.

The Hawks (3-4) trailed 4-1 and 6-4 in the fifth set against MSOE but rallied to tie the score at 9. Omari Wheeler then had three kills as part of a 6-1 run, and Stevie Bresser had the final two kills. Wheeler had 19 kills, 10 digs, Bresser had 13 kills and Noam Hannoun had 24 digs.

Wheeler had 22 kills and eight digs against St. Xavier, while Ben Rachilla had 11 kills and six digs.
