QUINCY -- One month after the shooting death of a Quincy man, no new details have been released, but police say the investigation continues.
Quincy Police Lt. Kathy Schisler said detectives continue to follow leads in the Jan. 6 shooting death of 53-year-old Dennis Green. The Quincy Police Department continues to ask that anyone with information in the shooting contact the department of Quincy Regional Crimes Stoppers, which is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
Green's body was found about 3:45 a.m. Jan. 6 on the front porch of his home at 800 S. 13th after officers were called there on a report of shots fired.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, and an autopsy found that the cause of death was two gunshot wounds to the head.
Police said multiple shell casings were recovered from the scene. Multiple people were inside the home at the time of the shooting, but no other injuries were reported.
