Scholarship Opportunity Available

QUINCY -- The Altrusa International of Quincy, Ill., Foundation was founded in 1998 with a bequest from Patricia and Leonard Kramer. The purposes for which the corporation is organized are for educational and scientific purposes, and specifically for the purpose of making awards, scholarships, and grants to students that show excellence or potential in the field of their choice.

Two scholarships have been established through the Altrusa International of Quincy, Ill., Foundation: Traditional (a high school senior enrolling in an accredited college, university, or technical school for the 2019-2020 academic year) and nontraditional (a nontraditional student enrolling in an accredited college, university, or technical school for a minimum of six hours per semester for 2019-2020).

Since 1999, two $1,000 scholarships have been awarded each year.
