Timbrook, King score two pins for Palmyra

HIGGINSVILLE, Mo. -- Peyton Timbrook and Weston King each scored two pins Friday to lead the Palmyra wrestling team at Friday's Class 1 District 3 meet at Lafayette County High School. Five Panthers advanced to Saturday's second round.

Wrestling at 152 pounds, Timbrook (25-22) pinned Gabe Hager of Lexington with 3 minutes, 29 seconds gone in the match, then pinned Will Atkinson of Richmond in 1:38.

At 220 pounds, King (14-7) pinned Troy Cunningham of Missouri Military Academy at 1:05, then pinned Maximus Cook of Macon at 5:46.

At 106 pounds, Kaden Crane (35-9) had a first-round bye and then pinned Chris Hernandez of Lafayette County.

Brayden Stevens (32-11) had a first round bye in the 113-pound class, then decisioned Conner Teat of Richmond 12-2.

Ross Arch (30-0) pinned Austin Miller of Richmond in 29 seconds at 145 pounds.
