Mark Twain can't hold on to halftime lead

KINGDOM CITY, Mo. -- The Mark Twain girls basketball team led nearly the entire first half but was outscored 15-5 in the third quarter and suffered a 50-47 loss to North Callaway in an Eastern Missouri Conference road game.

Mark Twain (11-12) led 29-21 at halftime thanks to 12 points from Elizabeth Trower. North Callaway's Daelyn Schmauch scored a game-high 25 points, seven of which came in the third quarter and eight more came in the final quarter. Trower finished with 20 points and six 3-pointers to lead Mark Twain.
