Missouri girls basketball roundup: Highland thrashes Palmyra in CCC bout

Kennedy Flanagan scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Highland girls basketball team to a 75-47 victory over Palmyra in Clarence Cannon Conference action Friday night on the road.

Flanagan led three Cougars that scored in double figures. Kaitlin Benson scored 15 points for Highland (16-3, 4-1 CCC), while Addy Johnson scored 13 points.

Palmyra (19-6, 6-2) was led by Isabelle Goldinger's 15 points, and Bailey Lovelace scored 12. Megan Stone added 10 points.

Macon 61, Monroe City 55: The Panthers allowed 45 points in the second half and let a 12-point halftime lead slip away in a CCC loss.

Monroe City (17-7, 4-3 CCC) was outscored 25-9 in the fourth quarter.

Jada Summers led the Panthers with 19 points. The Tigerettes (13-7, 5-2) had four players score in double figures.

Centralia 51, Clark County 33: The Indians went 0 for 23 from beyond the arc in a CCC loss.

Clark County (15-7, 3-3 CCC) didn't have a player score more than eight points. Isi Acklie scored eight points for the Indians.

Mary Kate Bennett led Centralia (12-10, 3-3) with 22 points.

Mark Twain 39, Louisiana 30: The Tigers wrapped up the regular season with a road win.

Mark Twain (8-15) slowly pulled away in the fourth quarter after leading 25-21 entering the final eight minutes.

Mackenzie Ogle finished with 13 points for Mark Twain. Kamara Combs finished with 13 points for Louisiana (4-19).
