QUINCY -- Investigators are looking into a shooting that was reported Monday afternoon near 10th and Washington in Quincy.
According to The Herald-Whig's news-gathering partners at WGEM, Lt. Chad Scott with the Quincy Police Department said a call came in around 4:50 p.m. of a person with a gunshot wound that showed up at Blessing Hospital.
Scott said the victim told officers that they were shot near 10th and Washington. Officers on scene said the shooting appeared to have happened in the middle of the street.
Evidence markers were on the ground in that area Monday night as authorities continued to search the area.
Scott said the victim's injuries were not life threatening.
