PITTSFIELD, Ill. -- A Missouri man was arrested on multiple charges after a traffic stop Tuesday afternoon in Pike County.
The Pike County Sheriff's Department said the stop took place at 2:05 p.m. along U.S. 54 near the Ill. 106 interchange.
After an investigation, deputies arrested the driver, Joshua L. Parks, 29, of Laddonia, Mo., on charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine (less than five grams), unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence of any amount of methamphetamine, driving while license suspended, illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
Parks was taken to the Pike County Jail.
The sheriff's department said further investigation showed Parks had just left the Pike County Courthouse after appearing for a preliminary hearing on a previous charge of unlawful possession of methamphetamine.
