Durham man injured in crash at Ill. 57, Radio Road

QUINCY -- A Durham, Mo., man was injured in a Thursday night crash on Ill. 57 at Radio Road.

Illinois State Police report a 1995 Freightliner truck tractor pulling a Fruehauf semi-trailer driven by Charles R. Temple, 63, of Durham was southbound on Gardner Expressway approaching Radio Road at 9:20 p.m. ISP said the truck struck the median and continued to travel southbound, crossing into the northbound lane, then ran off the roadway and down an embankment before stopping.

Temple was taken by Adams County Ambulance to Blessing Hospital with moderate injuries.

Temple was cited for driving while ill or fatigued, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and failure to wear seat belt.
