QUINCY -- The Unity baseball team handed Quincy Notre Dame its first loss of the season earlier this spring.
Dylan Foley made sure the Raiders got revenge Monday afternoon.
Foley had three hits, drove in a pair of runs along with tossing a complete-game shutout as QND defeated Unity 4-0 at Ferd Niemann Jr. Memorial Ballfield.
Dylan Venvertloh drove in the Raiders' first run with an RBI single in the first inning. Nick Schwartz doubled QND's lead in the third on another RBI single.
Both Venvertloh and Schwartz drove in Foley on their hits.
It was all the run support Foley needed, but he decided to help himself.
Foley knocked in two more runs on a two-run single, scoring Braxton Beards and Chase Miles, in the sixth inning. QND (16-3) finished with eight hits.
Luke Jansen and Logan Voth had the only two hits for Unity (11-6), who beat QND 3-2 earlier this season. The Mustangs, however, didn't have a base hit after the third inning despite stranding six.
Foley fanned 10 Mustangs in the shutout.
Schwartz had two hits along with his RBI.
