HANNIBAL, Mo. -- Four people were arrested Friday in Hannibal after the Police Department's Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad executed a narcotics search warrant in the 2200 block of Hope Street.
Police say a large amount of what is believed to be methamphetamine was found in the residence along with a handgun, drug paraphernalia and marijuana.
º Shawn Williams, 48, of Hannibal, on charges of distribution of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. He also was wanted on a felony Marion County warrant.
º Troy Nesbitt, 50, of Macon, on charges of unlawful use of a weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and possession of methamphetamine.
º Joana Ortega, 29, of Hannibal, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
º Brenda Watkins, 21, of Hannibal, on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
Williams and Nesbitt were initially placed on 24-hour holds at the Marion County Jail. Warrants were subsequently issued by the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County charging Nesbitt with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a weapon. Also, a warrant was subsequently issued charging Williams with delivery of a controlled substance.
Williams and Nesbitt remain in the Marion County Jail on a $50,000 cash only bond.
Ortega and Watkins were released pending prosecutor review.
The Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad was assisted by Hannibal's Special Response Team in executing the search warrant.
