Despite not having a golfer finish in the top 6, the Palmyra boys golf team grabbed second place in the Class 2 District 7 tournament Monday afternoon at the Kirksville Country Club in Kirksville, Mo.
Brady Shively was the low golfer for Palmyra, carding an 85. Ragar McKinney and Brock Bollin both shot 87, while Jacob Webster shot 89 and Mason Burch carded a 90.
Palmyra finished with a 348, 11 shots behind winner Centralia to advance to Monday's sectional tournament at Green Hills Golf Course in Bookfield, Mo.
Highland's Dalton Klocke finished runner-up individually with a 79. His teammate Blake Garner also advanced with a 90. Monroe City's Evan Janes finished with an 86, and his teammate Daniel Dennison advanced with 1 03.
Clark County advanced all four golfers despite a fifth-place team finish.
Brandon Kracht led Clark County with a 95, Kyle Anderson shot a 97, while Kristian Rossmiller and Corrigan Humphrey both carded 102.
Class 3, District 4: Hannibal's Hunter Parker earned all-district honors, while Preston Bennett also advanced from the tournament at the Links of Dardenne in O'Fallon, Mo.
Parker tied for 11th with a 10-over par 82. Bennett tied for 22nd with a 15-over par 87.
Hannibal finished seventh in the team standings after shooting a 367.
Class 1, District 6: Scotland County advanced two golfers to the sectional round. Brock Aylward carded a 95, while Conner Harrison carded a 101.
Class 1, District 5: Louisiana's Remington Feldewerth tied for fifth with an 11-over par 81 to advance from the district tournament at LA Nickell Golf Course in Columbia, Mo.
Feldewerth, who was seven shots behind medalist Rylee Hanson from Van-Far, will compete in the sectional round at Tanglewood Golf Course in Harrisburg, Mo.
