The Hannibal girls track and field team captured the Class 4 District 6 team title with 180 points, edging out Fort Zumwalt East by 2 1/2 points Saturday in Mexico, Mo.
The Pirates won two events and qualified for state in nine total events to next week's sectionals.
Cami Bross won the high jump at 5 feet, 2 inches. Emma Haner took second in the event.
Alayna Pipkin won the 800-meter run in 2 minutes, 24.44 seconds. She also qualified in the 4x800 relay along with Autumn Bigsby, Alexis Gonzalez and Claudia Nichols.
Breanna Gonzalez took second in the discus, and Josie Zeiger was second in the javelin.
Adrya Nichelson advanced in the 300 hurdles.
The 4x200 and 4x400 relay teams also qualified.
On the boys side, Hannibal's John Clubine won the javelin at 157-1. He also qualified in the 110 and 300 hurdles.
Kaiser Greenwell finished fourth in the pole vault.
Class 3 District 3: The Palmyra boys team took second place in O'Fallon, Mo.
Jarom Alexander advanced to sectionals in three events. He took second in the 100 and the 200 along with taking third in the 400. He helped the 4x400 relay team win.
Brett Griesbaum took second place in the 800 and in the 1,600.
Abe Haerr took third in the 800, and he was fourth in the high jump.
Weston King took second in the discus. Dylan Redd was third in the pole vault while Connor Roberts was fourth.
Palmyra finished with 108.5 points. Trinity Catholic won the title with 166 points.
On the girls side, Lydia Althoff advanced in both the shot put and discus.
Jansen Juette took fourth in the triple jump, while Emma Wittler was fourth in the pole vault.
Palmyra's 4x800 team took fourth.
