QUINCY -- The Quincy Police Department will once again participate in the "Cop on a Rooftop" fundraiser for the Law Enforcement Torch Run benefiting Special Olympics Illinois.

Officers will be stationed from 5 a.m. to noon Friday on the roof of Dunkin' Donuts, 2602 Broadway. It is one of 316 participating locations across the state.

Each person who visits a Dunkin' Donuts and donates to the fundraiser will receive a coupon for a free classic doughnut. Those who donate at least $10 will receive an Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run travel mug -- while supplies last -- and a coupon for a free medium hot coffee.

Torch Run T-shirts and raffle tickets also will be on sale.

Since 2003, more than $4.3 million has been raised to support Special Olympics Illinois. Last year, $871,000 was raised.

Dunkin' Donuts also is making a $15,000 donation to the Law Enforcement Torch Run, which is the largest year-round fundraiser for Special Olympics Illinois. It has raised nearly $51 million in 32 years.
