Jeriod Turner, a financial advisor representative with Benson Financial Group in Hannibal, Mo., has been authorized by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards to use the certified financial planner and CFP certification marks. He has worked at Benson Financial Group since 2016. Turner has a bachelor of science degree from Hannibal-LaGrange University and a master's degree in business administration from Auburn University.  


Beth Entrup, owner of Healthy Hounds Canine Massage and More, recently attended a Canine Conditioning workshop in St. Louis. She plans to incorporate safe stretching, injury prevention, coordination, flexibility and body awareness into classes she will be offering. Entrup is certified in canine oncology massage, canine palliative and hospice care, myofascial trigger point therapy, lymphatic massage, CPR and first aid.

Janice E. Pohlman, a real estate broker at Happel Inc. Realtors in Quincy, attended the 2019 Illinois Realtors Capitol Conference Realtor Lobby Day on April 30 in Springfield. A legislative briefing on issues that affect real estate agents and the protection of private property rights began the session. Pohlman also visited with Sen. Jil Tracy, Rep. Rita Mayfield and the offices of Rep. Randy Frese and Lt. Governor Julianna Stratton.


Quincy University hosted its annual End-of-the-Year Reception for faculty and staff on May 3 for the 2018-2019 academic year. These annual awards were presented.
