Hannibal man arrested after intoxicated teenager required medical treatment

TAYLOR, Mo. -- A Hannibal man has been arrested after he reportedly allowed a teenager to become intoxicated to the point where she needed to be treated at an undisclosed medical facility.

Matthew A. Wisdom, 31, was charged with one count of first-degree endangering the welfare a child after he was arrested Sunday. Wisdom was arrested Quincy Police Department after he was found in Quincy.

The Lewis County Sheriff's Department said Wisdom was in charge of the care of the 13-year-old girl in May 2018 in Taylor when the girl became "extremely intoxicated."

Wisdom is being held in the Lewis County Jail on a $20,000 cash-only bond.
