QUINCY -- Jen's Dance Academy will hold the 19th Annual Spring Recital "Dreaming of Dance" at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, in the Quincy Junior High Morrison Theatre. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
The show will feature dancers ages 2 through adult. They will perform a variety of routines in tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, hip hop, pointe, acrobat and swing.
The show will open with Level III tap class performing to the "Na Na Na" song. The first act also includes a senior lyrical dance to "Out of the Woods" and a Hip Hop routine to "Louder." Act I will conclude with a production number to the "My Year" song.
Act II will open with a guy/girl "Did I Mention?" swing routine. The second act also includes Level III jazz class performing to "In My Blood" and the junior company performing a "High Top Shoes" jazz routine.
The show also will feature many dances by Jen's 32 member company which won multiple awards this spring at Midwest Starz Competition in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The company members will close the show with an "A Million Deams" routine.
Tickets to the recital are $8 in advance and $9 at the door. Jen's Dance Academy is located at 822 Maine, offering summer classes to students of all ages.
