QUINCY -- A Quincy man facing multiple child pornography charges will return to Adams County Circuit Court on July 3 for sentencing after entering a guilty plea Tuesday.

Court records show Joshua A. Martin, 35, pleaded guilty to one count of child pornography, a Class 1 felony. As part of his plea a Class X child pornography charge was dismissed.

He faces between four and 15 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, but he can argue for probation.

Martin, 35, was arrested March 6 at 516 Oak after an investigation that started in November 2018.

The Quincy Police Department said the investigation began after multiple cybertips were generated tied to user-sharing child pornography through various social media platforms. The cybertips were processed by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in conjunction with the Illinois attorney general's office and then forwarded to Quincy police for investigation.

Martin has been held in the Adams County Jail on $200,000 bond since his arrest.
