QUINCY -- This year's Quincy Preserves Summer Historic Home and Garden Tour will give participants a glimpse of secret garden spaces, outdoor relaxation areas, grand homes and a restaurant.
The tour, to be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 22, will open up spaces that are normally closed.
Tour stops will be at: the house at 1401 Maine, the house and garden at 1656 Maine, the garden at 910 Birdie Lane, the house and garden at 4733 North 12th, the mansion and Shirley Northern Garden at the Illinois Veterans Home and the Red Light Bar and Grill at 422 Maine.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 day of and are available at quincypreserves.org, Domestics, Emerald City Jewelers, Kirlin's and the tour locations. Advance ticket claim and credit card sales will be at 1401 Maine.
Quincy Preserves annual membership picnic will be held at 6 p.m. on the grounds of the Illinois Veterans Home grounds at the Dudley Mansion. A scholarship presentation will be held along with a volunteer appreciation party.
