Crash east of Taylor injuries three teens

TAYLOR, Mo. -- A three-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon east of Taylor left three teens with minor injuries.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1992 Chevrolet driven by Olivia E. Vahle, 16, of Quincy, Ill., a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Margie L. Roland, 40, of Palmyra, and a 2012 Ford F-150 driven by Ralph W. Wittenberg of Arbela were westbound on U.S. 24, 4 miles east of Taylor, at 2:11 p.m. The patrol said the Chevrolet hit the rear of the Equinox, then the Equinox struck the rear of the F-150.

Vahle was taken by Marion County EMS to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill., with moderate injuries. Two passengers in her vehicle, Jacob M. Little, 16, of Quincy, and Lauren M. Soebbing, 14, of Quincy, were taken by Marion County EMS to Blessing with minor injuries. All were wearing seat belts, the patrol said.

The patrol was assisted by the Marion County Sheriff's Department and Palmyra Fire Department.
