QUINCY -- The trial for a former day care worker facing multiple counts of child pornography has been pushed back a month.

Court records show that Nathaniel W. Caldwell's trial date was set for Aug. 12 after a status hearing Tuesday in Adams County Circuit court.

Caldwell, 22, was arrested Oct. 31, 2018, on three counts of child pornography. He pleaded not guilty to the charges on Nov. 15. He was later indicted on four additional counts of child pornography stemming from May 2, 2018. He pleaded not guilty to those charges on Nov. 20.

Police said the investigation started after they received information from the attorney general's Internet Crimes Against Children division.

Caldwell reportedly had 169 images and 17 videos of child pornography.

He worked at St. Peter School day care at the time of his arrest.

Caldwell is set to return to court July 16 for a status hearing.

He remains in the Adams County Jail on $700,000 bond.
