CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -- One out away from sending the game to extra innings, the Quincy Gems couldn't get out of a ninth-inning jam.

Cape Catfish's Peyton Faulkner doubled with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning to drive in Jackson Campbell with the winning run as the Catfish walked off with a 2-1 Prospect League victory Wednesday night.

Tyler Clark-Chiapparelli suffered his second loss of the season, allowing one run and three hits over 12/3 innings with two walks. With two outs in the ninth, he gave up back-to-back singles before Faulkner's double.

The Gems (4-8) trailed after allowing an unearned run in the bottom of the first inning, but tied the game in the sixth.

Ryan Ignoffo singled, took second on a wild pitch and scored on Drew Behling's single. They were two of just five hits the Gems collected -- all were singles.

Gems starter Tyler Passmore allowed one unearned run on two hits over five innings with six strikeouts and two walks. Tyler Roeder tossed two scoreless innings of relief, allowing one hit and striking out three.
