HANNIBAL, Mo. -- A Hannibal man was arrested Wednesday on sex abuse charges.

Tory L. Whitfield, 41, was arrested on a warrant for two counts of second-degree child molestation. He also faces one count of statutory sodomy. Court records show the reported incident occurred May 1 and involved a child under the age of 12.

The Hannibal Police Department said the warrant was issued after an investigation by detectives and the Marion County Children's Division of the Missouri Department of Social Services.
