Gordmans set to open its new Hannibal store this Thursday

HANNIBAL, Mo. -- Gordmans has announced it will open its new Hannibal store this Thursday in the Huck Finn Shopping Center.

The store is inviting the public to a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. Thursday. Store representatives plan to present a $1,000 check to Hannibal High School.

Hannibal High School Principal Ted Sampson, Hannibal Mayor James Hark, Gordmans Store Manager Glenda Martin and officials from the Hannibal Chamber of Commerce are scheduled to be at the event.

Gordmans announced in a press release that it will give a tote bag to the first 100 customers. Those customers also will have a chance to win a $50 gift card or a $5 shopping card.

Customers will have an opportunity to sign up for a Gordmans credit card and the store's rewards program.

Gordmans, an apparel and home decor retailer, is opening 36 new stores this month, including the Hannibal business at 513 Huck Finn Shopping Center.
