Nobody can agree on bettering the country

To The Herald-Whig:

Every president the United States has ever had was elected by the Electoral College. People who don't like that result, get over it! There is no better representation for everyone than the Electoral College. I feel the state of Illinois is a prime example of unequal representation.

Chicago (Cook County) controls the whole state. Is that fair? What if six or seven states controlled all 50 states? Would that be fair to the other 43 or 44 states not represented?

Our Founding Fathers knew about corruption and human nature. Our politicians found out very quickly how to "stack the deck." Just load up the most populated states with as much money as possible to secure their votes.

We are headed for a non-violent civil war. Nobody can agree long enough to get anything done for the betterment of our country. I have never seen discourse between the political parties this bad, ever! I have never seen the vast majority of people hate the person who does not agree with their political position.

Wake up, people! It is one thing to disagree, but you do not have to be disagreeable.
