QUINCY -- John Wood Community College and Quincy University are partnering to provide high school students the chance to explore higher education opportunities in the area.
The second annual Camp College will be held from 9:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 26, and is open to all high school students entering ninth through 12th grades. The event is free, and parents are welcome to attend.
Camp College will offer students tours of both JWCC and QU campuses, where they will explore different majors and campus life. Presentations also will be given on admissions and financial aid from both schools.
Lunch will be provided.
Students and parents will start the day at JWCC's Student/Administrative Center, 1301 S. 48th. Registration begins at 9 a.m., and the event starts at 9:30 a.m. The group may drive or be bused to QU at 11:45 a.m. to complete activities.
