Investigation continues into Hannibal disturbance

HANNIBAL, Mo. -- An investigation continues into a disturbance Saturday at a home on Settlers Trail that left two people injured.

The Hannibal Police Department was called about 5:30 p.m. on a report of a disturbance. Police said officers learned that a physical altercation occurred, and two people were taken by private vehicle to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment on nonlife-threatening injuries.

Police said it was initially reported that a firearm was discharged, but officers were not able to substantiate that claim.
