Miss Emily Hellhake and Matthew Schornheuser were married Saturday, June 1, 2019.
The bride is a daughter of Tom and Marlene Hellhake of Quincy, Ill. She is a graduate of Quincy Notre Dame High School, and received bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Missouri.
Emily is currently a math teacher at Orchard Farm High School in Saint Charles, Mo.
The groom is a son of Bill and Roni Schornheuser of Oakville, Mo. He is a graduate of Oakville High School, and received a bachelors degree from University of Missouri.
Matthew is currently employed by Commerce Bank in Workforce Management.
The wedding ceremony started at 2 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Fr. James Wheeler officiated and Deacon Terry Ellerman also participated in the ceremony. There were Scripture readings by Tim Hellhake, uncle of the bride.
Accompanying the bridal couple during the wedding vows and ring exchange were each of their brothers, Greg Hellhake and Cole Schornheuser.
Flower girl was Emerson Chapman, niece of the groom.
Rig bearers were Noah and Adam Kasparie, godsons of the bride.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom at BoodaLu Restaurant.
The wedding reception was held at the Historic Dick Brothers Brewery with tunnel tours, cocktails, dinner and dancing from 5 to 11 p.m.
The newlyweds are at home in Saint Peters, Mo., after a honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico.
