PITTSFIELD, Ill. -- A former pastor of a Detroit, Ill., church facing sexual assault charges was sentenced to four years of probation after entering a guilty plea.
Pike County State's Attorney Zack Boren said Jeffrey S. Krupinski pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault on Tuesday in Pike County Circuit Court.
Krupinski also was sentenced to 60 days in jail and ordered to attend sex offender counseling, among several other conditions.
The charges alleged that Krupinski touched a 14-year-old girl for sexual gratification on July 4, 2018.
Krupinski, who now lives in Dwight, had started as pastor at Detroit Christian Church on July 1, 2018.
He was arrested on the charges Oct. 26.
Krupinski had been free after posting $4,500 bond Nov. 2.
